17SoundMaker creates a file having the name NW4C_SoundMaker.xml in the $tools/SoundMaker folder when it is first launched. <br> This file is called the initial settings file.<br>

20<h2>Role of the Initial Settings File</h2>

22SoundMaker saves information such as various operational settings in this initial settings file.<br> For example, information for previously opened project files is saved in the initial settings file. These same files can then be opened later by selecting File &gt; Recently used projects.

26When completely deleting the initial settings file or when there is no initial settings file at startup, SoundMaker  creates a new initial settings file. All settings are restored to their initial values.<br><br> We recommend making a backup of the initial settings file before re-installing.<br> <br>
