This function is designed for field-rendering so useful information can only be obtained if the TV mode is interlaced and the XFB mode is SF (single field). The 'above' field is the content the XFB is going to draw on the even-numbered lines (0, 2, 4, etc.) on the screen. The 'below' field is the content the XFB is going to draw on the odd-numbered lines (1, 3, 5, etc.).
