23<P>This function puts the CPU in the HALT state.</P>
24<P>If there is an interrupt to return from the <CODE>HALT</CODE> state, a return from the function occurs.</P>
25<H2>Internal Operation</H2>
26<P>For ARM9, HALT status is caused by access to the CP15 register 7 of the system control coprocessor 15. For ARM7, HALT status is caused by calling the system call.</P>
