8
Plug-in for Setting the Rendering Priority of Polygons

9

10

12
Plug-In for Setting the Rendering Priority of Polygons (NW4C Set Render Priority)

13
Sets the rendering priority for polygons in a shading group. It is also possible to search for settings.
This window is shown when NW4C Set Render Priority is run from the NW4C menu.

14

15
Selected materials and shading groups are displayed in the Selected Material field. If four or more materials are selected, display is skipped and the number of materials selected is displayed on the right.

16
17
Setting Attributes

18
Click the Set and Search tab.
When a shading group (shadingEngine node) or material node (Lambert node, and so on) is selected (multiple selections are possible), the current setting for the selected node is displayed in the Set field. If multiple selections were made, the setting for the node selected first is displayed.
The radio buttons to the right of Render Priority are used to select Don't care (no rendering priority specified) or a numeric value. To specify a numeric value, enter an integer from 1 to 255 and confirm with the Enter key. Polygons will be rendered beginning with those belonging to the shading group having the smallest value given here. If there is more than one shading group with the same rendering priority value, which polygons are rendered first will depend on the rendering routine. It is possible to make multiple selections and change all selected nodes at once.
A different node can be set by selecting it without closing the window.

19
20
Searching for Attributes

21
Click the Set and Search tab.
Selecting Don't care in the Search field (no rendering priority specified) or selecting a conditional specification and clicking the Search button will select the corresponding shading group, materials connected to that shading group, and polygons belonging to that shading group. Setting Rendering > Show ShadingGroups under Hypergraph makes the results easy to see.
The following conditions can be selected: under (<), below (<=), exactly (=), above (>=), and over (>). below), equal (= : exactly), over (>= : above), over(> : over). Integers from 1 to 255 can be specified for the numeric value.

22
23
List Format

24

25
Clicking the List tab gives the rendering priority of all shading groups in the scene in list format.
Here, Don't care is displayed as 0.
The rendering priority can be changed for each shading group by entering numeric values.

26
To select the shading group, material, and polygons belonging to the shading group, left click on a material name (shading group name) in the list.
If Frame Objects is selected at this time, the corresponding polygons will fill the view.
You can also add to the current selection by holding down the SHIFT key and clicking the left mouse button. The background of the selected material and shading group name is displayed in yellow.

27
Clicking on the Material (Shading Group) or Priority button will sort the material by names or in the order of rendering priority. Clicking on the same button one more time will result in a reverse-order sort.

Under the initial settings, sorting is performed in the ascending order of rendering priority.

28
Rendering priority values can be rearranged by dragging and dropping material names (shading group names) with the middle mouse button. However, if the dragged shading group and the dropped shading group have the same rendering priority, there will be no change in the order of rendering.

29
Sorting is not performed when numeric values are entered for the rendering priority, or when the material names (shading group names) are dragged and dropped. To sort again, click on the Shading Group or Priority button.
