60      <p>This is information that can be converted to a local friend code using the <A>friends</A> library.</p><p>To make it easy to use friend features in local communications but without using the local friend code as is in the UDS library so as to protect privacy and prevent specific users from tracking you, we've made it possible to get the local friend code by querying the <A>friends</A> library to get a data row of <CODE>SCRAMBLED_LOCAL_FRIEND_CODE_SIZE</CODE> bytes.</p><p>This data will have a separate value the next time communication occurs, even on the same device, so it cannot be used to specify a device.</p><!-- write here --></div>
