45<p>Gets the maximum number of lines that can be saved in the buffer.</p><p>The buffer can save up to a maximum of 10 KB of data, but to avoid buffer errors this function instead takes 5 KB (half of that maximum value) as its standard when it returns the number of lines.</p><p>If the number of lines, <CODE>lines</CODE>, does not satisfy all of the following conditions, this function will stop internally.<br />(1) The amount of transfer data (<SPAN class="argument">width</SPAN> * <SPAN class="argument">lines</SPAN> * 2) must be a multiple of 256 bytes.<br />(2) The <SPAN class="argument">height</SPAN> argument must be a multiple of <SPAN class="argument">lines</SPAN>.<br />(3) The amount of transfer data (<SPAN class="argument">width</SPAN> * <SPAN class="argument">lines</SPAN> * 2) must be 5 KB (5120 bytes) or less.</p><!-- write here --></div>
