$REVOLUTION_SDK_ROOT/dvddata/viewer/dummyviewer.wad
This tool is used to confirm the call sequence for the online manual when offline.
Although the online manual can be executed by executing OSLaunchManualViewer on a retail version of the Wii console, the Online Manual Verification Tool is a NAND application used during development to verify the online manual's call sequence on development hardware. Note that this tool is not for checking the manual itself. Furthermore, no connection is made to the network.
dummyviewer.wad in DvdRoot/viewer.dummyviewer.wad to Wii console NAND memory.OSLaunchManualViewer is executed within an application.
The text string in the argument specified upon execution of OSLaunchManualViewer is displayed on the screen.
Pressing the A Button passes this argument and transfers execution to the application that started the viewer. This tool allows you to confirm that execution has returned from the online manual in the usual sequence.
Pressing the B Button causes execution to transfer to the application that started the viewer without passing the argument. This tool allows you to confirm correct operation in cases such as when the console is reset while viewing the online manual.
Note: For details on the exact execution sequence associated with the online manual, see the control flow provided separately.
A warning message is displayed and the screen background turns red if the online manual is started by some other method such as Nmenu.
Because this tool has the same game code as the Wii Shop Channel, an error may be displayed when importing the Wii Shop Channel or when updating development hardware.
In such cases, first use Nmenu to remove any NAND applications with the game code HABA, and then try again. The problem should be resolved.
