The THPConv tool can convert serial JPEG files (group) that have serial numbers at the end of the file that correspond to the THP movie data playback order. When audio data in serial JPEG files are interleaved, the WAV files must be specified using the -s option during serial file conversion or the WAV files must be added after conversion.
The following restrictions apply to using the THPConv tool with serial JPEG files.
- JPEG files in a single set of THP movie data must have the same number of pixels in the horizontal and vertical directions. - At the end of serial JPEG files (group), there must be serial numbers that correspond to frame numbers. - The JPEG file sequence number that corresponds to the initial frame of the THP movie data can be any number. However, all subsequent file numbers must be sequential. - Be sure to add leading zeros to the file frame numbers so that they match the number of digits in the last frame.
The following restrictions apply to each JPEG file ing the serial group.
- Supports only the JPEG baseline DCT format. - Only sequential encoding is supported. - Only 4:2:0 subsampling is supported. - The pixel counts in both the horizontal and vertical directions must be a multiple of 16. - The maximum pixel count in the horizontal direction is 672 dots. There is no restriction on the pixel count in the vertical direction.
If these restrictions are not followed, the THPConv tool outputs an error and stops processing.
If you are creating four second THP movie data at 30 frames/second from serial JPEG files, the file names (based on testxxx.jpg) look like the following::
Frame 1 : test001.jpg Frame 2 : test002.jpg Frame 3 : test003.jpg … … : … Frame 51 : test051.jpg Frame 52 : test052.jpg … … : … Frame 118 : test118.jpg Frame 119 : test119.jpg Frame 120 : test120.jpg
