SoundPlayer is operated using the PARTNER-CTR Debugger controller.
There are three screen modes (windows) , each with a different set of operations.
Explanations of the operations in each window and of the playback status are shown in the bottom screen of the actual hardware.
Use the Left/Right Buttons to switch among the windows.
Press START to load a converted sound archive. (HioSoundPlayer only)

The upper screen displays the a list of the sounds contained in the specified sound archive, their playback status, the DSP process load, number of voices being used, and other such info.

You can switch the upper screen from displaying sound settings to displaying sound parameter settings using the X Button.
The following values can be set on the sound parameter settings screen.

This feature lets you select among any of the following four types of output mode (3D Surround).
- Monaural
- Stereo
- 3D surround (square)
- 3D surround (wide)
The virtual speaker positions differ for "square" and "wide."

This is switched in software using settings such as given in the table below.

Sets a value between 0 and 100. Maximum effect is 100.

Sets the clipping process that will be used when there is overflow during the output of sounds.
Specify either Normal clipping or Soft clipping.

When you specify an effect for AUX_BUS_A or AUX_BUS_B the corresponding parameters display.

Specifies which banks will be playing input from MIDI devices.
Banks linked to sequence sounds are also loaded.
Loaded banks are indicated by the # symbol.
Enlarging volume in the lower part of the upper screen raises the volume during MIDI Preview.
SEQ is displayed at the top of the upper screen, and below that is shown the volume of the selected sequence sound on SoundMaker.
(The displayed values map volume levels 0 ~ 255 to 0.0 ~ 2.0, where 127 represents the value at which playback is made at a volume equal to the source data.)
When banks are loaded while the cursor sits on SEQ, the volume of the selected sequence sounds is applied to the volume during MIDI Preview (volume in the lower part of the upper screen).
