NetworkSetting

Overview

The NetworkSetting program configures the security mode, SSID, and key (or passphrase) settings for network configurations 1-3.

Slot 1–3 Setting

Here you can set the network configuration of the selected slot. Select Write Setting to apply the settings.

SecurityMode

Choose from the following: OPEN, WEP 40bit, WEP 104bit, WEP 128bit, WPA TKIP, WPA2 TKIP, WPA AES, and WPA2 AES.

SSID

Enter an SSID via the software keyboard. You can only enter single-byte alphanumeric characters. The setting has a maximum length of 32 characters.

KEY / PASS PHRASE

Use the software keyboard to enter your data.
If you chose OPEN, WEP 40bit, WEP 104bit, or WEP 128bit for the SecurityMode, enter a key. If you chose WPA TKIP, WPA2 TKIP, WPA AES, or WPA2 AES, enter a passphrase.

The maximum length of the string varies as shown below.

AutoDNS

Configures the automatic DNS retrieval.
Setting automatic DNS to false allows the primary DNS and secondary DNS to be specified. Only numeric values can be entered.

Write Settings and AP Connection Test

Apply the setting and run the connection test.
The connection test only checks connections with an access point.

An error code is displayed if the connection test fails.
The error codes and corresponding solutions are shown below.

Error Code Description of Error Solution
00300xx NAND error Turn the system power off and back on, and try again.
00301xx Wireless device error Turn the system power off and back on, and try again.
00302xx The wireless feature is off Enable wireless communications.
00304xx Restricted by parental controls. Disable Parental Controls.
00310xx Either no access point beacon could be found, or none of the beacons that were found matched the connection candidate SSID. Move closer to the access point and try again.
Confirm the modem and access point are powered on.
Check the wireless feature settings of the wireless router.
Change the channel being used by the wireless router.
Check for radio interference from other devices in the vicinity.
Try again later.
00311xx Could not connect to access point because security is different.
Could not connect to access point for some reason
DHCP failed
Could not connect to access point because the maximum possible number of connections is exceeded.
Confirm security and passphrase.
Move closer to the access point and try again.
Check the wireless feature settings of the wireless router.
Check the wireless router settings on the LAN side
→DHCP, wireless settings, etc.
Change the channel being used by the wireless router.
Check for radio interference from other devices in the vicinity.
Manually configure the IP address.
Try again later.
00312xx IP address conflict with another terminal Change the IP address setting and try again.
00313xx The encryption setting for the access point is WEP, but WPA has been configured for broadcasting (according to the settings information in the beacon). Change the encryption settings for the wireless router.
00340xx Disconnected from the network during communication. Move closer to the access point and try again.
Check for radio interference from other devices in the vicinity.
00341xx Disconnected from the network during communication. Move closer to the access point and try again.
Check for radio interference from other devices in the vicinity.

Note: The value in the xx portion of the error code will differ depending on the slot used for the connection test.

Remove Setting

Deletes the settings.
